What is the purpose of the Amazon AWS Discovery Connector?
I've recently enabled the AWS connector for a client and the only data that appears in SLM is an IP address when running the assets not inventoried report.
Should it also be reporting a server name & Operating System?

Where in SLM would I go to report on the retrieved data?
You should be able to see the assets in the all cloud server report.

That report is for already inventoried servers that have the Snow agent.

Where I'm struggling is that the not-inventoried report only shows an IP address.
It's also not recognising the already inventoried servers in AWS (ie if I filter on an IP from the "All Cloud Servers" report it will also be found within the not inventoried list)
Trying to work out if what i'm seeing is the expected behavior.

Ahh! So that is what i was hoping to see when i run that report.... machine names with source Elastic Cloud 2
Instead all i see are IP addresses. Any ideas why this would be the case?
Hey,
The data you see in the "computer name" column, is the Hostname of the EC2 instance in AWS which correlates to its Internal IP. I have seen similar issue in past which was rectified by using the latest version of SIM and validating the read rights allocated to the connector from AWS IAM.
