Last Scan Date is getting longer
I thought I read somewhere that a change to the SNOW Agent was coming that changed the Last Scan Date to only SNOWPACKS that have changes.
But I am not at the latest version yet. I am noticing that the total number of Inventoried Per Day is very small.
In the reports, last scan date is showing a lot longer duration. We use the last scan date in a lot of filters for reporting.
Do I have another issue or is this expected?
Not sure i follow as the last scan date has always been when the agent scanned to generate the file.
This can differ from the Transfer Date of when the file was actually sent to the INV server for processing.
I see this on disconnected devices that report in only weekly etc. you may get a last scan date of Monday but it only transfers on Friday when they connect to a network. This throws off reports slightly.
If the inventoried per day is small i'd be looking at the INV server logs / error folder to see if it's processing correctly or are all gateways up and sending in data etc.
There are no files in the errors folder.
What I am asking is did something change where devices with no changes do not report in daily? For example:
Hi Mark
I'd be very surprised if a computer had no changes at all as even the uptime and various bits of system info the agent gathers update daily.
So as your numbers overall remain the same it suggests something has happened as normally you see a "weekly" ebb and flow of devices like this where you can spot the weekends when devices are mainly off.
p.s. this is on the latest version of INV server too and mainly newer 6.10 agents
