Computer is visible in both: Search for computers and Archived computer
Hi All,
When I archive a computer but in couple days it will be scanned, should it disappear from Archived computers and only be visible in Search for computers? Because now I have one computer which I can see in both: Search for computers and Archived computer.

Hi Yana,
When you archive a computer the system will take a 'snapshot' of that computer and put it into a archived computers table next it will delete the computer from the standard computers table. The search for computers only uses that table. What is most likely happening here is that the computer in question is still connected to the network and is still reporting in. so everytime it gets archived. the next day it will come in with a new inventory file as a new computer.
I recommend you verify whether the computer in question is still connected to the network and still has an agent installed on it.

Thanks for the reply, I have one question, what if I want to recover this computer, it will be removed from the Archived Computer report or is it normal that this computer will be on both Search for computers and Archived computer?

It is not possible to recover an archived computer. Once it reports back as a new computer it will be in both the archived computers report as well well as the search for computers list.
