Connect to a Tableau on-prem installation with SIM?

Hello,

has anyone managed to connect a Tableau on-prem installation with the SIM?

What are the prerequisites for this and what do I have to pay attention to?

With the existing Snow documentation I'm not able to establish a connection to the Tableau Server. We are using Tableau Server 2022.3.1.

I would be pleased to receive an answer.

I don't think there is a SIM for Tableau Server. The SIM for Tableau Online (or Tableau Cloud) is a different product.

You should speak to your DBAs to get access to the database. Then you'd create an ODBC connection to it, so that Tableau could access it. Verify your DB access by using the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. If that doesn't work, then there's no way Tableau will work.
