Which is the data priority between SIM and SIA?
Hi,
We use Snow Inventory Agent to get data from all notebooks, desktops and servers in my company. We also have virtual environment over Nutanix and VMware, and for those servers we also collect date through Snow Integration Manager.
I assumed that the data shown on SLM would be a merge of both, or at least the most complete one (usually from SIA), however there are several blank data fields, for instance OS name, and according to my understanding it's due to being considered only the data from SIM.
Example:
Inventory Server
SLM
Should I stop to collect data through SIM for servers where it's possible to collect over Snow Inventory Agent?

Hi,
this is due to a misconfiguration on your side.
Unless you use the "Host name only" identification in Snow Inventory, computers are identified based on Computername, Site name and BIOS information.
As you have set different site names in SIA and SIM, these will be two different computer objects in the Snow Inventory database (pretty obvious, as there are two entries in the device list).
Using identical site names should do the trick.
