Hello everyone, I would like to ask some help to find a way to fix a compliance issue about SQL Server. There are two SQL Servers installed on the same virtual machine, SQL 2016 and SQL 2019. This VM has 8 virtual core, so I have assigned 8 SQL Server 2019 license core on it, however when we export a report like License tracking per computer, this VM appears as non compliance. Regard licensing rules about the application, customer may use any number of Running Instances of the server software in any Virtual OSE on the Licensed Server, provided it acquires sufficient Licenses. The licenses assigned to this VM are sufficient, but covering only SQL Server 2019 installation. Its necessary any additional setting to cover the SQL Server 2016 using the same license already assigned to this VM?

First of all it looks like you have a problem in Software recognition!
The installed edition (Standard/Enterprise) is missing.
Especially for version 2019 the powershell script scan-microsoft-SQLServer.snow-ps1 (22.10.2020) should be included in your Inventory Agent.
Otherwise during an audit that listed information will not be enough.
Also your added license must have the edition information.
Regarding your original question, you can edit the application and activate "Allow multiple simultaneous versions" in tab License settings.

As Carloai said, first find out the missing information related to installed editions (Standard/Enterprise). You can reach out to the Snow support if you don't have PowerShell script for SQL Server. And, if you want to enable simultaneous versions into same hardware then follow following path to change the License settings,
Path: Search for applications > Open specific application (in my case, Kofax Power PDF 4 Advanced) > Edit Application > License settings.
You will see other options as well.
