IBM SVC virtual disk platform?
Hi
Our client has licenses for something called IBM SVC. Based on what client said it is some platform to manage virtual disks and looks like VMware. Do any of you heard about it? Is there a way to connect to it? I was checking SIM and for IBM there are only BigFix, ILMT and PowerVM connectors. PowerVM name looks like something to manage VM's but I'm not sure if this is the correct one to use with SVC.

The IBM SVC is a SAN controller - ie. it controls the SAN side of things in hybrid environments. Snow don't currently offer any connector for this, but I don't expect they will. For SAM they are concerned about what virtual devices are running on which physical hosts (hence the IBM powerVM connector), not the virtual disks that contain the VM's that are held on the SAN.....
Ok thank you Adam for your reply. Guess we will just install agents on those VM's and leave SVC alone
