There are several areas where Snow will be most useful: Licensing, Security, forecasting
Just to name a few types of reports:
The reports will be useful if the correct data is in Snow. Ensure you get User's and Computer's departments imported (from AD?) to be able to show the growing departments, the expensive ones ...
Also, management of O365, AWS and Azure costs will become more and more handy.

Hi Bryan,
Thanks for your note and my apologies for the delayed response. There are a number of great reports for showing the value Snow brings to an organization. I think the best place to start is to think about what kind of value is needed and who would benefit. Just a few examples:
Cost-focused (valuable to IT leadership and Procurement)
· Potential software cost savings. This report calculates the difference between deployed licenses vs. used licenses to show how much could potentially be saved. Assuming you have loaded application and cost entitlements, this often shows massive potential for saving.
· Computer TCO per Organization, Business Area and Cost Center. This report shows cost at the computer level and can be used to get cost at the level most relevant to you.
· Microsoft Office 365 E3 to E1 optimization. Shows possible savings from downgrading license entitlements
· Adobe Creative Cloud Insights. Shows where you are spending too much on users that aren’t using the application or don’t need their expensive license type.
Audit-focused (valuable to IT leadership and compliance teams)
· Compliance summary
· End of Support/End of Life. This report is valuable both from a portfolio management and a security perspective
Security-focused (valuable to security team)
· Blacklisted applications
· Applications with registered rights (shows applications that have been used without specific permission provided by IT)
All of these reports are directly available within Snow (most are searchable in “All Reports” under the “Reports” dropdown) or you may find it helpful to export the data to your organization’s BI tool of choice. This can be especially helpful if the consumers don’t yet have access to Snow.
The above list is just a small sampling. Let me know if there is additional information I can provide.
Kind regards,
