How is everyone tracking compliance for a cloud software product that has a free version, paid version, members, guests that Snow does not differentiate between who is using free and who are the paid users?

to my understanding, DIS should only count landingpages after login.
At least I had discussions regarding landingpages with DIS, while trying to setup a cloud application.
E.g. the visit of the publicly available World-Check-login-page should not be counted by cloud metering.
But the World-Check-landingpage after login should be counted by cloud metering.
Nevertheless it doesn't look like DIS only introduced cloud applications with landingpages.
We have several cloud applications where it looks like the simple visit of a website is metered without needing to login.
Moreover if the landing-pages after login for free and paid usage are the same, it might be hard to differentiate free and paid usage via cloud metering.
Hi Sascha. Thank you for your response. Yes, I agree. And I have verified with users that even for many of the free versions, it requires them to establish a user log on account. So what do you do to track these so they don't report non-compliance?
I would investigate, if there are different landingpages for paid and free versions. If there are different landinpages and the free version is metered, I would raise a support ticket to correct the landingpage to the paid version. If the landinpage is the same, good question... you can assign the paid user-licenses to the cloud application... but you can't exclude the free users via compliance exclusion rule, since users can't be excluded... But that's not only an issue with cloud applications... the magic word might be: ideasboard... Or you create additional free-userlicenses, which you can assign to the free users of the cloud application... Hopefully somebody has a more professional solution for this... 😄
