Are they a specific type of computer? Physical , virtual? Where are you looking is it under all devices? If so then it is possible that these are computers with out an agent that have connected to a Citrix server from outside of your domain.
I am looking in the "Search for Computers" report. We have Domain info for the majority of devices but I am noticing that the number of devices with no Domain info is growing which made me alarmed. When I asked my co-workers, one said that the he was pretty confident that the Domain info was originally imported from a platform that Snow replaced and is now gone. And also that the Snow Agents did not record Domain info.
Which I find hard to believe so I am trying to determine if this is the case.
The Snow agent will track the domain name as long as there is a user logged in who has and or the computer is authenticated against the domain. You can find more information here on what the agent collects.
We have always pulled in domain information, the domain field cannot be updated from an import unless you are writing directly to the database
In short, yes. You can find it displayed when viewing a computers Information tab...
For some devices, that field is not listed under the information tab. For these devices, the Domain Name column in a report, is blank.
So why is Snow showing the "Domain name" option under "Information" for some devices and not for others?
