What is a License ID and how does it work? I couldn't find much explanation in the User Guide.

The license ID is assigned to a license after you have either created a new license or imported new licenses. The License ID is used when assigning licenses.
There are two IDs in a license:
- The "License ID" is basically the record ID in the database and, as Denise mentioned, automatically created. Fortunately, you can add the License ID as a column in the meantime.
- In addition, there is an "External ID" that is a field in the license details. This is free to use for you and can be used as an alternate identifier when you import data.
