Snow vs Microsoft Endpoint Manager
All our mobile devices (laptops, smartphones, iPads) are enrolled with Microsoft Intune. Usage of software can be monitored with Microsoft's Endpoint Manager. In order to realize financial savings, my question is whether there are customers who stop enrolling Snow's Agents on Intune Devices and use Microsoft's Endpoint Manager to retrieve their information. And e.g. only enroll Snow agents on their server park (application servers, SBC or VDI)?
What would be the (dis)advantages of Snow vs Microsoft Endpoint Manager?
Hi,
As far as I know Snow recognizes much more applications and you can do both usage metering (Windows/MacOS) on installed applications and cloud applications used by running the Snow agent.
Kind regards,

Hi Gert-Jan,
you can read this post about Snow agent vs SCCM (link). It does not specifically mention Microsoft's Endpoint Manager, but should give you some hints.
Personally, in our environment we extensively rely on third party integrations to collect inventory information and I would note recommend to follow the same path and better rely on Snow Agent whenever possible. Here are some issues we are regularly facing with integrations:
Hope this helps
Kind Regards
Christophe
Hi Christophe,
thanks for your reply. But the question was not mine 😉 We use the Snow agent in whole our estate for the same reasons as you mention 😀
Kind regards,
Gert-Jan.
Thanks Christophe & Gert-Jan for your reactions
