  • As well as the automated imports described above, for updating users records in a one time manner you can do this in the Home - Import Data - Update Existing Users wizard by using an CSV/XLS sheet to update users who have already been inventoried by and Agent.

    • Thank you Joe. I tried that, but i receive a strange error message when I begin that process - saying that I have chosen to delete computers ( which if course is not the case). I am afraid to continue. 😀

      • Just to confirm you are using the "Update Existing Users" wizard and not the Computers wizard.

        You shouldn't get any warning regarding deleting computers in the User update.

         

        I've just tried this again on SLM 9.8.1 to confirm it's not a potential bug you are seeing.

  • Hi what version of SLM are you using - this was an issue which was fixed in 9.63........

     

  • Adam, We use v9.6.2. Do you think the error message can be ignored?

if I add "User" custom fields, like Staff Location and Department, can I use the import process to load the information for those fields?
