See applications started on VDI, find VDI's on which user only runs 1 or few applications (let those users use remoteapp instead of full VDI)
Hi,
We have some VDI's Hyper-V (which start with prefix VDI then 001,002) dedicated to mostly one sometimes 2,3 users.
Is there a way I can generate a report of VDI's on which only 1 or few applications are started?
With such a report, we could address these users, f.e. VDI001 only uses XMind for last 3 months => better use a remoteapp we offer via Windows Virtual Desktop. That way we would save resources = full VDI vs single/few remoteapps.

There is a report called "Applications per VDI computer" that can be used for finding out which applications have been installed and used on a VDI. I would recommend to have a look at the Technical Description for Virtual Environments, chapter 3, Desktop Virtualization:

Also, if not already in use, the recommendation for installing a Snow Agent on a VDI is to use a separate configuration to let the agent report that is run on a VDI so SLM can take VDA rights into account.

The setting that needs to be configured is: env.is_virtual_desktop_infrastructure
and I would recommend that you contact Snow support to get a separate Snow Agent for VDI's with this setting enabled for your VDI-environment.
