How do I apply a license to applications that are not in the same application family? For instance, a vendor changed the name of their application, but the current license should cover the old.

Hi,

Does the new application exist in the Snow application recognition library? If not you can put a support request in to have the application added and included in the 'same' family upgrade and downgrade rights and once the changes are reflected in Snow the changes should automatically allow the natural upgrade to occur to the new application family. You then only need to make some minor adjustments to the manual downgrade paths to include the legacy application in case it is still being used in your company.
