  • Hello Heiner.  I have personally not heard about this issue before, the oracle scanner is running some SQL queries to retrieve data from the Oracle database, and that should absolutely not take hours.  It is true that the oracle scanner will try to create a file with the scan result, which later will be inclued in the snowpack file together with the rest of the scan data of the Linux computer, but I have not seen that this process fails and initates a new scan.  There should be two logs in the data folder of the inventory agent, sios rotation log 1 and 0.  If you raise the log level to verbose and do another scan and monitor these logs you might get a better clue of exactly what happens. The oracle scanner is pretty detailed in verbose mode. Do you get any error messages at all?
