Number of seats available

Hi Snowers,

going to a search "all computers", I have 59k computers.

SNOW tells me I have reached 62K seats (our limit) and I have 3500 PCs queued up waiting.

My question is, if I have 59K PCs, where are the 3K left, since snow tells me that I have reached the limit (62K)?

Any thoughts?

Thank you

  • Thank you for the answers. I'm trying to compare both tbls and see if i can extract the "junk" PCs.

  • Look at the error message - does it say "you inventory source" has reached its limit?

You more than likely have lots of junk or grey machines in your Inventory DB stopping new machines coming in.

This is the first thing to look for. You may also have to consider if lots of junk machines are left in the Inventory DB but deleted from SLM why they didn't get deleted.

It could be your Inventory / Maintenance Services are not working right and clearing things out.

  • You can check the "inventory base" by executing the following SELECT:

SELECT * FROM SnowLicenseManager.dbo.tblComputerInvSlmMap WHERE DeletedDate Is Null
