Nicolas asked a question.
Has anyone used data from Insight as proof of purchase (excel report)? I just want to confirm before I start loading it to SNOW.
Insight told me their excel reports are consider proof of purchase and should be accepted by any software manufacturer during audits. If this is correct, this will save many hours of labor instead of creating licenses manually and loading documents.
Just to clarify, we purchase most of our software from Insight and the excel spreadsheet reports they are planning on sending to me are formatted so that I use the import tool to create all those licenses in SNOW, therefore avoiding the manual effort of creating the licenses. As for the actual proof of purchase, it comes down to the invoice number they provide and since they are an authorize reseller then this becomes the proof of purchase. It makes sense to me, but I just want to know if this sounds right to people with more experience as I been doing it for less than a year.
Thank you!
I would also be interested in the answer to this.
I'd like to see this answered also - can't quite see anyone just accepting lines on a excel sheet with no actual proof of purchase from a secondary source such as a finance system or vendors own records.
