In addition to the article David is linking to, you can also use power shell to trigger the snow agent to scan. (Might come in handy if you do not have physical access to the computer or the SC command is blocked or doesn't work.) This power shell command will trigger the scan on the remote computer, and the second will send the result to the inventory server. The credential part of the string needs to be a local administrator of the target computer in order for this to work. Run this power shell command to trigger the scan ( will create a *.snowpack file in the local data folder) Invoke-Command -ComputerName TARGETCOMPNAME -ScriptBlock { & 'c:\program files\snow software\inventory\agent\snowagent.exe' scan} -credential DOMAIN\useraccount Run this power shell command to send the *.snowpack result to the inventory server Invoke-Command -ComputerName TARGETCOMPNAME -ScriptBlock { & 'c:\program files\snow software\inventory\agent\snowagent.exe' send} -credential DOMAIN \ useraccount
