Date used is 80 years hence

I have a system that is showing the date something is used as 80 years hence: Application Last used Run Per run (hh:mm) Application family Dropbox 39.4 26/06/ 2098 74 01:56 Dropbox Everything else is the correct date but not sure why this is showing as this? I did once have an issue with the system clock and this skewed the underlying details but this is not the case here Any suggestions or comments?

We have this too!! An application last used '01/01/2064' This is giving us a 'minus' total for Total time. Did anyone figure out why this was the case? I see something about resetting a calendar? - seems like a strange one but I can certainly give it a test and see if I get the same! ----- OKAY editing as users need admin rights to change the date and time on their PC's. so this wont have happened for this particular device! Any other ideas? Unfortunately, our hosting party have deleted the PC so we can't really investigate this much unless they can retrieve it! Ta!

  Okay, it was a puzzle but what we did was: Checked the system and ensured that the dates were correct Deleted the original record Sent a fresh full scan from the system Didn't go past Go, did not collect $200 and didn't go to jail... After 24 hours or so all was as it should be. Quite why it was the wrong dates, we never did discover but the steps above cured it.

    Thanks for your response!! How very strange!! Well the record is gone now so I suppose we shall see tomorrow if that has fixed our issue! Essentially it was causing an overflow that prevented our reports to show or export! It's taken some time to get to this conclusion on why that has taken place so I think I will continue to push for support on this until we can discover why this has taken place to avoid it happening again in the future! I will update if I find out more!! Thanks, Gemma

    Emmanuel, Within Snow License Manager, locate the record for that system and delete the full computer record. Or if you have SQL access do same there. Next send an update from the system and allow the Daily Update Job to run overnight. Review the outcome in the morning. Mark

Have you been to the future recently Mark? I believe if you go back to the future , this will alleviate your problem. On a serious note though, is this screenshot specific to only one computer or all computers that have accessed that application? I imagine that when Snow polls an agent it takes the used date directly from the device in question which might suggest the time/date setting on the device has been configured wrong? That seems like a pretty simple solution, I'm sure you've probably already considered it.

Hi Mark, if this is still an issue I would recommend that you send a Snowpack file to Snow Support for analysis. Please make sure that before you run scan/send, the application is running. /marcel

    Hi Mark, do you see some kind of pattern? Is this only one computer, one application or one server? Any info could help. Snow Inventory Agent takes local system time for all timestamps (scan time, last scan date, logs, usage timestamps, ...). Possibly you can find an error there. /marcel
