How does Snow identify operating system software that comes free with the install? Is it recognized? Is it recognized as "no license required"? Or does operating system software not show at all because it does come free as part of the install?
What operating system software do you mean to be "free with the install"?
If you think of Microsoft OEM licenses, these are clearly not free.
Hi Axel. Thanks for responding. For example in the start menu on my laptop there are things like Paint 3D, Xbox Console Companion, Sticky Notes, Grove Music, etc. I assume they came with the operating system. Does Snow pick them up as "no license required" or doesn't include them since they come free with the operating system?
Ah, I understand, thank you.
Usually these applications will be either listed as "no installation required" or ignored.
In the most configurations I have seen, the C:\Windows path is excluded from the inventory scan.
Thank you!
