Unable to Import Licences
The simple fact is that on the front-end of SNOW, we are unable to import licences. When using the import template provided by SNOW, we input all the details and begin to import it and none of the rows are highlighted (so no errors) we then press the next button and are presented with: Could not import row. (index: [0]) Could not import row. (index: [1]) Could not import row. (index: [2]) Could not import row. (index: [3]) Could not import row. (index: [4]) 0 row(s) imported successfully. HOWEVER , if you take this same spreadsheet and import it via SMACC (server backend) then it imports without error yet does not show the imported data on the website frontend. I have a ticket logged with SNOW support concerning this (CS0069201).  Version: SLM 9.4

  • #SOLUTION This issue was due to an agreement having been manually inputted into SNOW. When attempting to import an MLS into SNOW, if you have an agreement entry already in SNOW the import wizard with tell you that it already exist through validation and an assumption can be made that it will simply continue the import. However, this is not the case and will result in the aforementioned errors. Where possible, I would suggest always importing from spreadsheets and checking/removing duplicates already on SLM where necessary.  Thanks to ‌ for helping us resolve this issue.

Hi ‌, I checked the issue and it seems that support did escalate this internally as the troubleshooting goes on. I totally do understand the resulting frustration, especially when performing a seemingly easy task which fails and i appreciate the honesty.   Please be assured that the team is working on it and are eventually close to find the root cause of your import. • Thanks Geoffrey, so this is now heading down the route of the Services Team (re-installing the entire product) but I have a feeling it is an issue with the indexing on the database; do you happen to have a tool that could check that the indexing of the two databases SnowInventory and SNOWLicenseManager are congruent Thanks, Grant.

Hi ‌, I'm afraid i don't have any tool to check the indexing, i know support and consultants usually do via the SQL Server Management Tool. I checked the case again and it seems that there were some issues which might be environmental, as no import would work for you. This should get fixed with the reinstall. Let me know if there is still a hiccup! Best Regards Geoffrey Macquet Customer Success Manager EMEA
