Computer with 2 specified apps installed - report conditions?

Hi,

I need a report that shows all computers that has 2 specified applications installed (on the same computer), in this case Java and SPSS.  I am able to get a report on two applications but it shows all computers that have 1 (or both) of the specified apps installed. I only want to see which computers that have both applications.

    Hi Maria, You could use the applications per computer report and use the "or" criteria. Once that report is generated just sort by computer name and any machine that has both applications installed should be next to each other. If they're not next to each other then they shouldn't have both applications installed. To be extra sure you could export it to Excel and run a duplicate lookup. Hope that helps

      There is one small caveat to this and that is because you're looking for Java, chances are, Snow is going to detected multiple versions on the same computer where it's been updated. You could either be more specific in naming the application or as I said, use a bit of filtering in Excel.

        Right you are, there are many computers that has several Java versions installed which will make them duplicates in the list. I was just curious if there is any way of doing this in SLM by choosing the right criteras, but it does not seem so... I will work it out in Excel. Thanks for your input! Regards, Maria

          Yeah the problem with the applications report using the "and" criteria is that it starts looking for one specific application that is both X and Y which... doesn't make sense!

    Perhaps this  may help you ‌ If you want to see only computers that have installed several specific applications,  then you can use the filter criteria Installed application.  Hope that will help Carola
