How to Filter on Agreements
Afternoon Snow Community,   A while back I raised a feature request with Snow to have filtering available for Agreements in SLM8.   I am quite sure filtering on agreements was in previous releases of Snow but when SLM8 came out I found that I could not longer filter on agreements (very strange).   You can filter on Applications, Computers, Users and Licenses but not Agreements! Surely this should be basic functionality as it would be extremely useful to all.   Snow have responded with: "Not enough demand for this request as this can actually be done via the SQL backend en-masse. This feature won’t be implemented."   I find it hard to swallow that this should even be classified as a 'feature request' as it was a basic functionality of previous releases, more of a defect.  If you are on a hosted platform you most likely do not have access to the SQL backend.   I can't understand when you have filtering on all other areas of SLM8 why not Agreements.....? What are your thoughts on this, should the basics of filtering be available in the SLM8 frontend?  If so Please raise a feature request with Snow.     I'm genuinely interested in hearing your thoughts on this.   Many Thanks   Nick

Hi ‌, Can you expand on filtering of agreements. There are many reports that can be modified to gain access to specific agreements.
    • Hi, Thanks for your response. I am saying in the toolbar of SLM8 I can select "list all" for applications, licenses, users, agreements and computers but the filtering capability is available for all that above categories with the exception of Agreements (I am sure this was available in previous releases and not sure why you wouldn't want it as basic functionality of SLM8). I was trying to select and delete all agreements by filter on a manufacturer but I was unable to do this due to the filtering not being available in agreements, I had to remove the agreements manually one by one which took quite a while as I had over 1000 agreements against this manufacturer (well I sometimes managed to delete a few at a time where some were sub-agreements by deleting the master agreement). I tried to use the agreements reports for all agreements and you can report on them by manufacturer but you cannot bulk delete....It would seem you can only do this from the toolbar 'list all agreements' or I should say you used to be able to do this (you can for licenses, computers etc.). Regards Nick

‌ I see what you are saying. I am on the US product counsel and we meet every week. to discuss feature and improvements from customers. I will put this in my notes to bring up next week on our meeting.  I agree it would be nice to multi select agreements for deletion or simple changes to things like alerts.
  • Hi Nick, As per the beginning when I started to use SLM (SLM7 to be exact), I also missed such a function and did request it via a feature request. Till today that is not being implemented, as per what I now read due to lack of customers who would like to have it available too. Would have been a handy feature though... Best regards, Detlev
    • Hi Detlev, Thanks for the response - All I can say is please raise a feature request with your local Snow Support team and let's try and get this functionality implemented, it would benefit all and I cannot imagine it would be a big thing to put filtering on for Agreements, after all it is available for applications, computers, users and licenses! Regards Nick
