Already mentioned by ‌ and ‌ it's NOT recommended to install a Snow linux agent on a ESXi server. We get all the information through the connector. If you need any assistance in setting this up please let us know and we're happy to help you out.

Hi Khaleed, you can install the Snow Inventory Agent on various Linux systems. SNOW INVENTORY 5 AGENT FOR LINUX Amazon Linux AMI 2017.03 and 2017.09 Amazon Linux AMI 2016.03 and 2016.09 Amazon Linux AMI 2015.03 and 2015.09 Amazon Linux AMI 2014.03 and 2014.09 Amazon Linux AMI 2013.03 and 2013.09 Amazon Linux AMI 2012.03 and 2012.09 Amazon Linux AMI 2011.09 CentOS 7.0-7.4 CentOS 6.0-6.9 CentOS 5.0-5.11 Debian 8.0-8.2, 8.5 Debian 7.0-7.6 Debian 6.0.00-6.0.10 Debian 5.x Oracle Linux 7.0-7.2 Oracle Linux 6.0-6.5, 6.7-6.8 Oracle Linux 5.0-5.11 Oracle Enterprise Linux 4.x Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0-7.4 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0-6.9 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0-5.11 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.x SUSE 12 SUSE 11* SUSE 10 Ubuntu/Kubuntu 16.04 Ubuntu/Kubuntu 15.04 and 15.10 Ubuntu/Kubuntu 14.04, 14.10 Ubuntu/Kubuntu 13.x Ubuntu/Kubuntu 12.x Ubuntu/Kubuntu 11.x Ubuntu/Kubuntu 10.x Please check the System Requirements  for more info. One question would be: What information do you envision from the agent on your ESXi host? Our Snow Integration Connector for VMware delivers host information, guest information and the host-guest-relations of the whole virtual datacenter. Please have a look at the User Guide . /marcel

... what I would like to add is that is strongly NOT recommended to insall a Snow Agent of the esX servers. As outlined by the others, specifically Marcel, Snow provides the Snow Integration Manager to withdraw the relevant data from the vCenter server through the vCenter sdk interface. cheers Stefan

I also would like to add, that from an availability perspective, installing a foreign software on a high performance esx server could potentially have more impact than grabbing the data from the management system VMware vSphere . And - as it is - we are getting all relevant information via the connector.

I think that no software can be installed on  VMware ESXi servers. You have to take the data just using the SIM connector thought  sdk.
