Can I set alert emails for other users?

So if i have a manager who purchases a particular software, can i set the expiration alerts to email him? I didn't know if there was something like this built in or not? Maybe this is a bad practice?

Hi Jeremy, As Randy has already mentioned, the best way would be to add a custom notification by going to the Admin page and clicking on My Notifications, Then click on Add Notification. Click in the Active box to turn it on, give it a Name, enter details of who you want the alert sent to, then select the category and when. So for my test above it will send an email to me when a license is going to expire. Then click on the Criteria button. Click Add Criteria, then add the "restriction" you are looking for, so in my example above this will only generate alerts if the application manufacturer is Microsoft (The % is a wild card, so this will match anything with Microsoft in the name) You can add multiple criteria and group them with and / or to match your requirements. When you are done click on Save, then sit back and wait fot the alerts to be generated. Mark.

  When i try this method, i click Add Criteria and i see nothing? Is this possibly because im Hosted?

    Hi ‌, 1) I have confirmed that it is not a hosted issue. I have tested on a partner platform. What partner is hosting your subscription? 2) You can can create custom users with a support ticket to your hosting provider. 3) You are correct if you set my way to email ever 30 days you may miss one on the day after 30 day report generation. You could set this to weekly to combat that issue.

    I have confirmed that it is there for me. What browsers are you using? I would try Chrome. License Manager works best in Chrome I have found.

Hi If you would like to create a report that is emailed to a individual outside License Manager see below. This is useful to create reminders and expiration of contracts to send to multiple people regardless if they are a a user of License Manager. 1) Create custom report for "All Agreements" 2) Set a time frame for expiration of agreement 3) Create a name for your report. 4) Schedule the report to be sent on the 1st of the month to show what agreements will expire in the next 60 days.

  I like this, But what if the expiration is 61 days out when the report is sent, the next report you get, you will only have 30 days to react? Right? I guess the proper name for the report should be Expire in the next 60-90 days and set the valid days left to 90? Or am i off here?

Hi, You certainly can for reports. I'm not sure if you can for alerts as there isn't a field that you can create this. Create them a customised Snow account and dashboard so they just login and see whatever vendor they manage. Restrict them though so they can't edit anything and have view only access. Best, David
