SLM not showing all licenses for Office365

Hello,

We have the O365 tenant configured in Snow by the proper SIM Connector.

The issue is that the SLM doesnt reflect the correct number of licenses for O365; it still shows our previous number of subscriptions - before last purchases. Opening O365 website the licenses count is correct.

Any idea why this is happening?

BTW: as troubleshoot I tested the connection in SIM and the feedback is positive.

Thanks.

  • Hi We are running SLM 9.3 and inventory 5.16. Configured 0365 connector as per prerequisite.when we run the test through the 0365 connector the result is successful. When we access SLM we see only user data is imported but subcription and cost not showing under the cloud, Microsoft 0365. Can anyone advise what needs to be done to get the subscription and usage details. Note : customer has subscribed for the plan but not using the application from cloud.

    • Cost is a manual input so it doesnt come directly from the connector. The subscriptions and activity are automatically populated. What are the logs showing in Program Files\Snow Software\Logs\Office365Service ?
      • Dear Morgado I have attached 0365 log file and eventlog. I noticed value in 0365 log and could not login error in Eventstore. Appreciate if you could us. Thanks & Regards S. Shahjahan CEO Ice Information Technology . shah@iceinfotec.com Mobile: +971 558006602
        • EvenStore database sometimes needs to be rebuilt.. open a ticket with Support. They should be able to support you on that.
  • It's very old: Last data import 30/07/2018 at 10:04:31  How can we refresh the info? Thanks.

Hi ‌, i don't think that it is only the info that's outdated - most likely your data is also not very recent, which could explain the wrong numbers. Please go to Snow Integration Manager and select the connection with a single click in the right window. Then, push 'Aggregate selected' from the middle menu. This aggregation should create several files in the folder, that is specified under the 'Inventory file handling' tab. Please check incoming files right after pressing the 'Aggregate selected' button. Please also have a look at the associated logs under 'C:\Program Files\Snow Software\Logs\ Snow Integration Manager '. It should have entries for the time that you pressed the 'Aggregate selected' button. Please let us know if you can find anything there. If you wish to, you can still open a Support Ticket for this case. /marcel

      • Thanks for the quick reply. We have a schedule for the "aggregate" to be be done every day. Shouldn't be enough? I am forcing right now the "aggregate selected" to see which type of logs are reproduced.
        • the folder D:\Program Files\Snow Software\Snow Inventory\Server\Incoming\announcements\processing has now an huge amount of snowpacks.
      • ‌ It worked . Thanks. Today after the DUJ the information was updated on DUJ. What I still dont understand is why the "schedule"  didnt work as expected. Do you know how to troubleshoot if the schedule is working as expected?

Hi ‌, good to hear that your data is being processed and is showing up in Snow License Manager. Regarding the 'schedule' function: This should trigger the configured connector at the specified time (same as if you did it via the 'Aggregate selected' manually). What you can do is reset and reconfigure the schedule of this connector. Please note that you can configure a schedule for each connector and therefore need to select the connector from the right column first and then need to click on 'Schedule'. Please undo any scheduling setting, save, and then set it again. I would like you to monitor this until the next schedule has passed and another DUJ has ran through. If there are still errors, we need to go into deeper analysis. /marcel
