Cloud Inventory menu item migrating to Technology Intelligence Platform

Current versions of IT Visibility still contain a menu item referring to the previous Cloud Inventory report, which was not integrated into Technology Intelligence Platform. This menu item is being removed in favour of the new Platform-based capability. 

Currently, in order to display inventory on the new Platform report, you need to configure a beta version of the Flexera One cloud inventory plugin by following the steps here. We are currently working on a new cloud inventory management experience, which will enable you to easily register and manage cloud connections using simple steps and user-friendly interfaces. 

The new and upcoming cloud inventory management experience will require reconfiguration; unless your need for cloud inventory reporting is critical, we recommend delaying plugin configuration using the existing method until the next version becomes available (expected July 2025). The release will be announced here, in the Flexera One blog on Flexera Community.

AWS cloud inventory will appear in the reports "Hardware Portfolio Overview" and "Comprehensive Hardware Inventory Report," underneath the Cloud Inventory tab. Please note that AWS cloud inventory will not appear in the main hardware summaries in these reports and will not be included as part of normalized hardware data views."

New Report Release and Enhancements are live now!

We are excited to announce the addition of Cloud Inventory data on Hardware Portfolio Overview and Comprehensive Hardware Inventory Reports as an additional page. Additionally, this release includes several enhancements to improve overall functionality, UI and user experience that meet your evolving needs.

What’s New in This Release: 

• Cloud Inventory: New Report Page added to Hardware Portfolio Overview and Comprehensive Hardware Inventory reports. Cloud Inventory provides a comprehensive view of cloud assets, offering insights into the proportion of cloud devices within the organization, segmentation by provider, region, and type, and detailed resource attributes such as availability zone, size, and tagging. With drill-through capabilities, users can explore specific devices for deeper analysis and informed decision-making.

• Evidence Measures are added to Software Report Type and available for custom reporting use.

• ARL Alignment standalone view introduced in Software SDM for custom reporting which includes fields like DataplatformId, FlexeraId, SoftwareProductId and SoftwareReleaseId.

• Timeseries tables are enabled for Custom Reporting

1. Hardware: Table Name - Device Lifecycle Daily, Measures: Folder - Device Measures, Sub folder - Time Series
2. Software: Table Name - Software Lifecycle Daily, Measures: Folder - Software Measures, Sub Folder - Time Series

• Predefine Bookmarks feature Now enabled for custom use: Pre-defined bookmarks are limited to Flexera’s prebuilt reports, restricting interactivity in custom reports. Without the ability to create or access these bookmarks, users cannot toggle filters, charts, or graphs, limiting the effectiveness of interactive reporting. Enabling this functionality would enhance customization and user experience.
• Is Licensable slicer is added in all reports pointing to Software and Vulnerabilities Report Type
• Models GA and Devices End of Sale measures are now part of Hardware SDM
• To keep it consistent across all places, Last Availability fields are now renamed as End of Sale
• Inventory Normalization Insights Report (Sankey) is now updated to include the OS statistics
• Individual widget Title change for some of the visuals in Vulnerability and Sustainability Reports that includes 3-dimensional data.
• Minor internal bug fixes, along with UX and performance enhancements, have been included
