  1. Flexera ITAM SKU Library Update – December Release

     

    We’re excited to share an important update regarding the ITAM SKU library as part of our December release.

     

    What’s Changing?

    • The PURL.cab file which contains the consolidated SKU catalog and its metadata, has reached its threshold to be delivered as a single package.

     

    • To ensure smooth delivery and continued access to all SKU content, we’ve split the file into two parts: PURL.cab and PURL2.cab

     

    • Both files carry the same SKU version, so there is no impact on accuracy, consistency and SKU linking to its relevant applications and license templates.

     

    • This change does NOT affect any other vendor-specific Product Use Rights Libraries (PURL) cab files. Ex: PURL-Adobe.cab

     

    • Customers are expected to download and reconcile two individual files, PURL.cab and PURL2.cab to access the complete SKU library.
      • For cloud customers, all cab files will continue to be reconciled automatically following the regular schedule.
      • On-premise customers are expected to download two specific files. Below reference screenshot from Product and License Center (PLC)

    SKUPLC 

     

    • Following our regular monthly release cadence, onpremise customers will receive the latest SKU build on 19th Dec 2025 and cloud customers will receive it on 22nd Dec 2025.

     

    • After successful reconciliation, the updated version can be verified in the UI, which will be displayed as <CurrentVersion>_<CurrentVersion> template. Reference screenshot below -

    • Hi Flex team

       

      For the customer does manual import PURL.cab , is that right just put two split files into \Flexera Software\FlexNet Manager Platform\DataImport\SKU folder and run batchprocess command to import ? It's a bit unclear with this change for the manual import.

  2. IBM Product Part# Needs to be updated in Snow

    Hi Team,

    I have observed that there are so many IBM Product SKU needs to be updated in SNOW SRC. We are facing challenge while uploading the entitlement in Snow. It's request to Snow team to work on updation activity of IBM Software Part/Catalogue  (SKU)

    We are always happy to support you all. We are creating the request to update the unrecognized part.

    I hope, Team will take this as feedback & work on it to improve the service.

    There are so many Product name listed under single SKU. is this the common behavior or something going wrong?

    • Community Manager (Flexera Software)

      Hi Somnath, please support us with filling in as much info as possible in the "Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) Template".  You find it at  www.snowsoftware.com/download - on the very bottom.  This file should be send in via Snow Support as a ticket and will be further processed by our Data Intelligence Team. If you think there is something wrong with multiple software under a single SKU, this can also be checked via a support ticket. Many thanks and best regards, Alex
