I am trying to add some applications to the denylisted applications report. Can i know is there a way to automatically add the different versions of the same applications once discovered in the SLM?

I am trying to add some applications to the denylisted applications report. Can I know is there a way to automatically add the different versions of the same applications once those are discovered later on in the SLM?

Please suggest because I have to manually check and update for other versions/editions every single time.

  • Hi Singh,

Yes, when you add an application to the Denylist, you can set a filter on the "Application Name" or "Application Category". You can make some clever use of wildcards: "%" replaces any number of characters, "_" replaces any single character.

ticket-01For example, you could deny any version of Edge below 100 by specifying "Edge __" (2 underscores) as your filter.

But when adding a % at the end of an application name like "Adobe 20__ Pro%" you would blacklist any version of Adobe Acrobat Pro.
