Can you maybe provide some more details? You want to extend disk space for servers, where Snow application is running? In that sense I dont see any risk in having more disks. Its good to have OS on standard disk and processing folder for example on premium SSD disk.
Same goes with SQL servers, OS can be located on standard disk and rest of the databases and backups, etc should be located on separated SSD disks.
