We have a question about how many seats we have in Snow Inventory ... we know for SLM we can check our license in the Web Configurator ... but is there a way to do the same in Snow Inventory? I want to check it matches what's in SLM.
Answering my own question 😂 One way is to check the logfile (eg C:\ProgramData\SnowSoftware\Inventory\Server) because when the inventory server starts up it checks the license and outputs the number of seats as well as the expiry date.
Thinking of SLM is licensed by "inventoried items in the inventory source", should there be a difference between SLM seats and SINV seats?
We would hope not, but since they are two different licenses we wanted to make sure they were in sync. It looks like it's theoretically possible for them to differ.
