Cloud Application Metering

We are looking at the potential of setting this up for our Snow configuration here.

The only documentation I can find is a technical description dated 02/05/2018

Is there an updated version of this anywhere than I can use to look into setting this up.

The technical document only mentions browser extensions for IE , chrome and Firefox - however the majority of our users will be accessing SAAS web applications via edge.

Will the cloud monitoring work with edge?

Is there anything updated I can look at

As already mentioned in another thread a new version of the Windows Agent 6.1.0 has been released and this version include browser extension for Edge: https://community.snowsoftware.com/community/ProductHub/inventory/blog/2019/03/14/release-announcement-for-snow-inventory-agent-610-for-windows

Hi Dean, While you were/are planning to implement Cloud Application Metering, did you had to consider consult e.g. HR or labor union? Monitoring employees internet browser activity is something what I consider "next level" of app usage monitoring and I'm always interested to hear did this level of monitoring raised any security/GDPR concers. This is good feature even there's no support for Edge - yet. Juha

Hi Dan, How to enable the cloud metering is briefly described in the user guide for SMACC: KB0019387 There is also an updated technical description, about a month old: KB0019397 Unfortunately there is currently no support for Edge. I know that there is an ongoing investigation to support Edge too, but I do not know the progress of this project. / Martin
