Oracle Applicance (PCA,BDA,ODA). Supported ?

Hi to all,

has someone tried snow agent in Oracle Applicance, like ODA,BDA,PCA ?

Seems that snow agent doesn't support (officially) Oracle Appliance but I need to inventory also these appliances.

    Hi Fabio, We have one customer that has installed the Snow Inventory Client 1.9 on their EXAdata (PCA) systems without any troubles. OS just recognized as Oracle Linux and Oracle DB's inventoried as well. No experience with the Inventory Agent 5 yet. Best Ruud

    Hi Fabio, we are supporting operating systems and you need to check things like processor architecture or specific libraries. We are not really supporting specific machines/appliances. If you check the latest agent system requirements at  | Snow Software  , you can see that we support all those OS: - Oracle Linux (ODA, BDA) - various Linux, Solaris or Windows (PCA) I have not seen one of my customers running agents on EXAs or ODAs. This is mainly, because of the low risk of incompliance. But it should work and  ? might know of customers with more experience? Best regards, Alex

      Hi Alex, Can you specify which agent system req document (link or title) does contains reference to ODA,BDA & PCA ? I looked for it but I didn't found any ODA, BDA or PCA in system req docs. thanks fabio

        Hi Fabio, I just marked the OS with the possible appliance myself. As I said, we do not support or mention specific machines. Best regards, Alex
