Hi

We have just deploy Snow en both Inventory Server and Service Gateway. We have connected the AD (

Active Directory) and it is only reporting 400 devices while we know there are thousands. When I refresh, this amount does not raise. I tried to switch off and turn on both the Master and the Service Gateway. But it still repornting this obviously incorrect number os devices.

Does anybody knows If it is because it need more time? We have left it all the weekend.

Thanks in advance

Hi do you have „only“ one AD? In case you have different ADs you have to configure for every AD one separate AD connector (LDAP path) with an  appropriate  AD user. This is also necessary in case you have a trusted domain infrastructure (Forest). Additional you can check the Snow Inventory Server logfile. You find it here: “C:\ProgramData\SnowSoftware\Inventory\Server”. Please search for entries like “”Discovery-active-directory”. Are there any issues logged? Regards Siggi

    • Hi  Siegfried, Thanks for the response. It was an issue in the txt logfile. But also, it was a problem of LDAP path. Instead of being only one AD, there were many domains, and we were only including one of them. So the number os devices were ok, just in this domain. So we are going to try to add as many domains as we know an see if it now reports correctly. Thanks
