Changing Config for Limited Set of Machines

Hi Travis. If you want to divide your current agent configuration to several new configurations you will have to do this as an agent update, it cannot be done through the Configurations menu as it will always target all machines with the current configuration name. Here's how you do it: Make a copy of a current snowagent.config and change the <ConfigName> to the new configuration name. You can also create a new configuration in the management studio, but you will need to export it to a file and name it snowagent.config . Create an Agent Update in the Snow Management console Choose to Add support files and add your new snowagent.config file. When selecting Targets you must first add one or more Sites , then you can target a subset of Devices, either by specifying computer names, or using a View that you have created for this purpose. The targeted computers will now download and replace the current snowagent.config next time they check in for updates. Your new config will show up in the list of Available configurations as soon as the first computer has downloaded the new configuration file and performed a first scan.
