URL for Snow License Manager Web GUI

Hi All,

Regarding the web gui of Snow License Manager, please help with the following queries:

a) What is the by default url of Snow License Manager Web GUI

b) How to customize the URL assuming over company already holds the domain https://abc.com. And the url of snow license manager web gui we require is https://slmweb.abc.com

Hello Sumit, the default URL of your SLM web GUI depends on your installation. Normally you can try it with http://<Name_of_SLM_server>/ Depends if https or http is active To be sure what is the exact URL you have to check Internet Information Services (IIS) settings, see screenshot. There you can find all configured parameter. In my example it is http://SLM_servername Your second question relating to DNS settings for the SLM server. Therefore you have to create additional DNS entries. Please get in contact with your local system administrators. They should be able to answer your question. Regards Siggi

Hi Sumit, the default url of Snow License Manager is https://servername/ for internal connections. All other specifications are done within Windows Server's 'Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager'. If you wish to make the site available for external traffic, you need to make changes to your DNS, firewall and to the IIS management as well. What these are is related to your network/server/security configuration and can be best delivered by someone, who knows your network.
