Hard disc - serial number
Am I right, that the Snow Inventory not the Serial number recorded? I can't find it.

- Jelle Wijndelts (Flexera Software)Hi Kai, the serial number is captured by the client and can be found in the Snow Inventory console under peripherals, logical disks. select the drive and then the serial number is on the right hand site. it is possible to create a new view in the inventory console that shows you the computername the logical drives and serial numbers for all computers. information on how to add a new view in the inventory console can be found in the inventory User Guide Admin Console. you can find Product Documentation here regards, JelleExpand Post
- Oliver Berger (Flexera Software)Hi Kai, as far I know, the Agents does not return the serial number of the physical hard disk. Just the serial number of the logical partition, as mentioned. As far I can see, the agent and the databases are not designed to handle this. If you need this quick and with snow, an agent scan extension, combined with some Database customisation could do the Job. This would be a job for services.
