Rapid 7

Rapid 7

My Security guy has just purchased a Service called Rapid 7 which is a Managed Detection and Response tool. It requires Agents to be installed on all our servers/computers. I can't find it in the list of applications. how can I deal with this type of service/license?

Susan, The company is Rapid7 rather than the product and I see these products: AppSpider Metasploit Nexpose Note they do have a Rapid7 product for the Cloud. Mark

Hi , what product exactly would you expect? Snow categorizes products with a 'Manufacturer Name' and 'Application Name', so ‌'s suggestion is correct. The application name is necessary to distinguish the product. Please suggest searching for the application under 'Applications' -> 'Search for applications' by entering the following parameters: This will give you all matching applications from the software catalogue. Does this give you more insight? Please let us know. /marcel

  Yes thanks to Marks instructors I found the Rapid 7 applications but the names still don’t match. I will go back to the app owner to get more information from him. Thanks again Sent from my iPhone

    Hi Susan, in case the application still isn't matchable, you can submit details of the desired application to Snow Support, where it will be added to the Software Recognition database and will then show up in the list of applications.   Actually, I found the software in Applications using the search parameters given by Mark BUT when I then go into Licenses and want to add my licenses: They cannot find the Application. I tried both Application Search and SKU search (just in case) – no luck in either. So I still can’t add the licenses. Regards Susan

    Hi Susan, you should be able to find any software from our software catalogue while adding licenses via 'Licenses' -> 'Add license'. What exact application would you like to add? Could you please share more information with us? /marcel
