Highlights from June  

SaaS Recognition Improvements

As part of our ongoing quality improvement efforts, we have continued to refine our SaaS application catalogue by reviewing, updating, and removing inaccurate URL mappings that could lead to false positive detections. These improvements help reduce false positive detections and provide customers with more accurate SaaS recognition, web metering, and visibility into application usage across their environments.

Lifecycle & Support Status Updates:

As part of our lifecycle improvement work in June 2026:

·      Lifecycle data was updated for 7,652 applications across multiple software families

·      2,384 applications now include an accurate release date

·      717 applications now include a verified end‑of‑support date

·      618 applications now include a verified end‑of‑life date

The following top vendors accounted for the highest volume of lifecycle changes in June:

1. Reminder: Microsoft 365 E7 – The Frontier Suite 

As highlighted last month, Microsoft 365 E7 is Microsoft’s new top-tier enterprise bundle, bringing together:

This bundle represents Microsoft’s latest step towards fully integrated AI, security, and identity capabilities within the enterprise stack.

2. Lifecycle & Support Status Updates: 

a. Lifecycle Documentation Release 

We are pleased to announce the release of our Lifecycle and Support Practices documentation this month. It explains how DIS lifecycle dates are sourced, validated, and updated, including when N/A is used and how major-version curation is applied. This gives customers clearer visibility into lifecycle data quality and stronger confidence in lifecycle-based reporting and decisions.

b. Lifecycle Statistics 

As part of our lifecycle improvement work in May 2026: 

• Lifecycle data was updated for 14,102 applications across multiple software families 
• 2,205 applications now include an accurate release date 
• 636 applications now include a verified end‑of‑support date 
• 421 applications now include a verified end‑of‑life date 

The following top vendors accounted for the highest volume of lifecycle changes in May: 

• IBM – 7985 applications 
• Oracle – 168 applications 
• Microsoft Corporation – 146 applications 
• Red Hat, Inc. – 81 applications

In addition, support status inconsistencies were corrected to improve overall data reliability. 

3. AI Integrated Applications Added 

As part of our continued investment in emerging technologies, DIS has expanded its catalogue of AIrelated applications. This month, a total of 63 applications with AI functionality has been added with 18 of those being SaaS applications with AI, reflecting the growing demand for recognition and lifecycle tracking of AIdriven software across enterprise environments.

1. Adobe Premiere Naming Change 

Adobe have officially dropped “Pro” from Adobe Premiere Pro and renamed the application to Adobe Premiere.

1. Known Autodesk Bundle Recognition Issues 

Overview 

Historically, bundle recognition relied on specific applications or registry data being present to confirm a bundle installation. If the mandatory component was detected, the bundle would be recognised automatically. 

In recent years, some vendors (including Autodesk) have changed how this data is generated. As a result, the required data for confirming certain bundles is no longer consistently available. 

Because of this: 

• Automatic bundle recognition may no longer trigger. 
• Customers may need to manually override bundles in SLM to ensure visibility.

The following bundles no longer generate consistent data for their mandatory components:  

• AutoCAD Revit LT Suite 2027  
• Last version: 2023

1. Lifecycle Data Cleanup (Non‑Top Vendors) 

We completed a targeted lifecycle data cleanup to improve consistency for older, non‑top vendor applications. 

As part of this task, we have reviewed and updated a total number of 266,880 applications that are 10 years old or older and confirmed whether reliable lifecycle information was available. 

Where no verified lifecycle data existed—and where the vendor was confirmed not to be a top vendor—lifecycle fields were standardised to N/A. 

This approach ensures clearer, more reliable reporting and avoids misleading lifecycle assumptions.

• 2,499 applications now include an accurate release date

We completed a rule-side fix for the javapath shim issue.

In March, we streamlined AI‑generated service classifications to improve accuracy and consistency:

• Service subcategories reduced from 5,244 to 394

This refinement removes duplication, resulting in clearer service mapping and more reliable reporting.
