About DIS 

Data Intelligence Service (DIS) provides recognition services to customers, ensuring accurate software recognition in Snow License Manager and Snow Atlas. 

The DIS team consists of: 

  • DIS Analyst Team – Responsible for analysing incoming inventory data to keep software recognition up to date. 
  • DIS Development Team – Focuses on advancing recognition technology and improving our services. 

 

Highlights from May 

1. Reminder: Microsoft 365 E7 – The Frontier Suite 

As highlighted last month, Microsoft 365 E7 is Microsoft’s new top-tier enterprise bundle, bringing together: 

  • Microsoft 365 E5 
  • Microsoft Entra Suite 
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot 
  • Agent 365 

This bundle represents Microsoft’s latest step towards fully integrated AI, security, and identity capabilities within the enterprise stack.

2. Lifecycle & Support Status Updates: 

a. Lifecycle Documentation Release 

We are pleased to announce the release of our Lifecycle and Support Practices documentation this month. It explains how DIS lifecycle dates are sourced, validated, and updated, including when N/A is used and how major-version curation is applied. This gives customers clearer visibility into lifecycle data quality and stronger confidence in lifecycle-based reporting and decisions.

b. Lifecycle Statistics 

As part of our lifecycle improvement work in May 2026: 

  • Lifecycle data was updated for 14,102 applications across multiple software families 
  • 2,205 applications now include an accurate release date 
  • 636 applications now include a verified end‑of‑support date 
  • 421 applications now include a verified end‑of‑life date 

 

The following top vendors accounted for the highest volume of lifecycle changes in May: 

  • IBM – 7985 applications 
  • Oracle – 168 applications 
  • Microsoft Corporation – 146 applications 
  • Red Hat, Inc. – 81 applications 
  • Corel Corporation – 67 applications 

 

In addition, support status inconsistencies were corrected to improve overall data reliability. 

 

3. AI Integrated Applications Added 

As part of our continued investment in emerging technologies, DIS has expanded its catalogue of AIrelated applications. This month, a total of 63 applications with AI functionality has been added with 18 of those being SaaS applications with AI, reflecting the growing demand for recognition and lifecycle tracking of AIdriven software across enterprise environments.

• Applications created: 4,924 

• Applications with AI Functionality Added: 63 

• SaaS Applications with AI Functionality Added: 18 

• Third-party data normalized: 14,170 

• SKUs added: 53,876 

• Vulnerabilities (CPE/CVE) mapped: 640 

• Cases handled: 273
