New in IT Visibility: Drill Down from Software Evidence to Associated Devices

We're excited to share an enhancement that makes it faster to see exactly which devices are behind any software evidence record in IT Visibility.

Device Counts added to Software Evidence

IT Visibility now shows a Device Counts column on the Software Evidence page (Applications & Evidence > IT Visibility Software > Software Evidence). It shows how many devices have that evidence. Click the count to open the Devices page, filtered to only the devices associated with that evidence record and evidence type.

You'll find Device Counts in:

  • The Installer Evidence, File Evidence, and OS Evidence views, where it appears as a column.
  • The detail page of an individual evidence record, where it appears as a value.

Why this matters: Previously, you had to search separately to find out where a piece of software evidence was installed. Now one click takes you from "what's installed" to "where it's installed." This helps when you're validating recognition, looking into unexpected software, or preparing for an audit.

With this update, you can:

  • Go straight from an evidence record to its associated devices.
  • Search within just the filtered device records, with the evidence filter still applied.
  • Add more column filters and keep the evidence filter in place.
  • Export only the filtered devices with Download Grid Data (CSV). The file is named Devices-Filtered-by-SW-Evidence-Export-<date>.csv.

Note: The summary card and group buttons aren't shown on the filtered Devices page.
