Official release of Snow Extender 2.8.0

Snow Extender 2.8.0 resolves a critical connector issue introduced in version 2.7.0 and includes an additional security enhancement. This release restores ITSM and SaaS connector functionality and improves access control to debug logs. Customers affected by the 2.7.0 issue are strongly advised to upgrade.

Security Improvement

Access to Extender debug logs is now restricted to administrative users, reducing the risk of exposure of sensitive diagnostic information.

XSS Protection Fix – Connector Stability

Enhanced XSS protection introduced in Snow Extender 2.7.0 unintentionally caused ITSM and SaaS connectors to fail when communicating with Snow Atlas APIs.

This has been fixed in Snow Extender 2.8.0 by preserving request integrity while maintaining strong XSS protection, fully restoring connector stability.

Customers affected by ITSM or SaaS connector issues in Snow Extender 2.7.0 are strongly recommended to upgrade to version 2.8.0
