We are seeing 6 duplicate hostnames in our all computers listing2 are active, 4 quarantined. Any reason why it would occur? Ho\ew to prevent in future?
What do the duplicates BIOS serial number/Manufacturer/Site Name/OS look like? Snow Inventory will treat a machine as new if 2 of these properties change...e.g.
You can look into Hostname Only mode if you think that will work in the situation you are encountering.
The only delta is BIOS serial number. We did find the same hostnames in prod & dev - the names were not changed long ago when they were established. Thanks for reply!
