Have recently performed a full virus scan of my machine (using Eset Scanner), it detected a potentially unsafe application in the eventPage.js file, assuming being used by the Snow web metering browser extensions...e.g.
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\blojlgglhfcmpigjbkllcgjmhincdjhb\1.0.4_1\eventPage.js JS/SnowSoftware.A potentially unsafe application cleaned by deleting
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Extensions\fmammgdlmljodabkafnkpagekcigmabk\1.0.4_1\eventPage.js JS/SnowSoftware.A potentially unsafe application cleaned by deleting

I'm assuming that this is undesirable as it will render the extension unusable?
Anyone else see virus detection issues (either false positive or otherwise) with the Snow browser extensions installed?
We have seen those cases where the agent accesses files to scan them. This triggers the AV to kick in and scan the accessed files. Then it results in the detection alarm as triggered by the Snow Agent.
We solved the issue by excluding the Snow Agent folder from the scan I think.
@Adam Davies​ knows apparently more than I do about AV issues as far as I can see from his posts.
Maybe he will have some comments
Hi - I think it's being picked up because it's an unknown app to Eset..... you should be able to add it to your file exclusion list to stop this alert.....
