IT Visibility - TI Platform: Report enhancements – Live Now!

From Current-State Visibility to Historical Technology Intelligence. Introducing Integrated Trend Views Across Hardware, Software & Vulnerability Insights.

As customers use our Hardware and Software Portfolio reports to understand their technology environment, we wanted to take the experience beyond a point-in-time view and help them understand how their environment is evolving over time. Historical trend data collection began in 2025, and we now have approximately a year of datasets that enables us to provide meaningful historical comparisons across key technology and security metrics. With this enhancement, we have integrated Trend Views directly into the main Hardware Portfolio, Software Portfolio, and Software Vulnerability Insights reports, bringing current-state and historical perspectives together in a single reporting experience.

Customers can now track trends across:

  • Installations
  • Devices Inventoried
  • End of Life
  • End of Sale
  • Obsolescence
  • Total Vulnerabilities
  • CVEs

The trend views also support the common dimensions and filters available within the respective reports, allowing customers to move beyond overall trends and monitor how changes are occurring across different parts of their environment.

Why we introduced this enhancement

Previously, portfolio reporting primarily helped customers answer:

“What does my technology environment look like today?”

With a year of historical data now available, we can help answer an equally important question:

“How is my technology and security environment changing over time?”

This enhancement allows customers to:

  • Track portfolio growth and changes in installations and inventoried devices.
  • Monitor lifecycle exposure over time across End of Life, End of Sale, and Obsolescence.
  • Understand vulnerability trends by monitoring changes in Total Vulnerabilities and CVEs.
  • Identify emerging patterns and changes rather than relying solely on current-state numbers.
  • Use dimensions and filters to understand where changes are occurring.
  • Connect historical context with current-state insights to support technology planning, lifecycle management, and security prioritization.

Value

Customers can now access historical trends alongside their current portfolio and vulnerability insights, without needing to navigate to a separate experience to understand how key metrics have changed.

This provides a more complete view of the technology environment by combining current state + historical movement + lifecycle exposure + vulnerability trends in the reports customers already use.
