About DIS 

Data Intelligence Service (DIS) provides recognition services to customers, ensuring accurate software recognition in Snow License Manager and Snow Atlas. The DIS team consists of: 

• DIS Analyst Team – Responsible for analysing incoming inventory data to keep software recognition up to date. 
• DIS Development Team – Focuses on advancing recognition technology and improving our services.

Highlights from August 

New Snow Scripts Released 

The following Snow Scripts were released on 2nd of September 2026 and are intended to improve software recognition and inventory discovery, helping customers achieve more accurate recognition and compliance reporting.

· SnowScript - Scan-PDF-XchangeViewer 3.0 

· SnowScript - Scan-Remote Desktop Manager 1.0 

Lifecycle & Support Status Updates: 

As part of our lifecycle improvement work in August 2026: 

· Lifecycle data was updated for 7,049 applications across multiple software families 

· 3,097 applications now include an accurate release date 

· 1,133 applications now include a verified end‑of‑support date 

· 916 applications now include a verified end‑of‑life date 

The following top vendors accounted for the highest volume of lifecycle changes in August: 

· IBM – 647 applications 

· JetBrains s.r.o – 230 applications 

· Quest Software – 69 applications 

· Microsoft Corporation – 53 applications 

· Oracle – 41 applications 

In addition, support status inconsistencies were corrected to improve overall data reliability.
