  • Hi,

When will you start processing early access requests? Requested this version for early testing yesterday but not available in SUS yet.

  • Hi,

I've requested the updates on 6th but still nothing in SUS. Have you found errors in the updates and holding back on them?

  • With the headline part of this update being Upgrade to .NET 8 for Background Services does this require .Net 8 / ASP.CORE and .NET Runtime to be installed alongside the removal of older .net / ASP.CORE and .NET Runtime versions?

The System Requirements document may need to be updated accordingly: Software requirements

  • has there been an answer/clarification to your question? I you got information throug another channel, could you repost it here then as well please?

  • To answer my own questtion: this is written in the release notes. citation: "....NOTE: This upgrade does not change the system requirements. You don't need to take any action for the changes to be in place."

    • I raised a support ticket and while they couldn't say if not having .net 8 / ASP.CORE and .NET runtime 8 were actually needed to be installed prior to the update - no one seems to know and these items are not installed via Microsoft update until you manually install the version 8 items and Microsoft now do patch all 3 of these modules via WU.

The best the support team could do was get someone to add that comment to the Release Notes.
