Has anyone installed SNOW on an EC2 AWS instance? Is there a template for it in AWS or does SNOW provide one? We are looking to move our on-prem DC servers to the AWS Cloud. Thank you

Hi @Sajid Qureshi
Yes, You can install Snow on EC2 instance.
For moving On-premise to the AWS Cloud. There is currently no option (As I know) available from Snow. Recently Snow introduce new cloud service i.e. Snow Atlas which may have option and for know more about same please connect with your account manager who can provide more information.
You can do this by taking the database backups (SLM & INV, etc.) and then installed the similar version of applications. Once you installed application after that you can restore the database and also need to re-activate SLM license & require to do some adjustment into SMACC. (Advise: Raise the Support ticket before migration)
Note: Before migrating, you need to add a new Endpoint Server URL into Agent configuration so that machines can be easily reported towards new INV Server.
Kind regards,
Kishan Pant
Thank you - dont see anything in the snow site which refers to SNOW Atlas - we will contact our Account Mgr. - Thank you - no AWS AMI for SNOW either.
snow will just see it as a virtual machine running in AWS.... works fine in my experience - same as it does in Azure... worth using the AWS SIM connector to discover the VM's you have running in AWS too.
