Spider supports LDAPS and LDAP signing policies. Follow the instructions below to set up a secure Active Directory connection using LDAP over SSL (LDAPS) and LDAP signing.
NOTE: For initial setup, please refer to the “Set up Active Directory” section of the Spider User Manual section in Flexera’s documentation.
Instructions
- Log into Spider as an Administrator.
- Open System > Active Directories.
- Click on the Active Directory name in blue below Login Context. FLEXTEST is used in the example below.
- In the Edit Active Directory menu, the LDAP entry can now be supplemented with the Secure LDAP Port 636 in the Top Level field. For example: enter LDAP://flextest.com:636. Then, click on Test in the menu.
The message "The connection to Active Directory could be established" confirms that the secure connection has been successfully established.
